These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of SLR Studio ("Service"), operated by SLR Studio ("we," "us," or "our"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
SLR Studio provides AI-assisted tools for academic research, literature review, manuscript drafting, and related scholarly activities. You may use the Service only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms.

You must create an account to access the Service. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must provide accurate and complete information during registration and keep your information up to date.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, are inactive for extended periods, or are associated with fraudulent activity.
SLR Studio offers paid subscription plans billed monthly or annually via Stripe. By subscribing, you authorize us to charge your payment method on a recurring basis.
The SLR Studio platform, including its software, design, and underlying AI models, is owned by SLR Studio and protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws.
Content you create or generate using the Service ("Your Content") remains yours. You grant SLR Studio a limited license to process Your Content for the purpose of delivering the Service. We do not use Your Content to train AI models.
SLR Studio uses large language models (LLMs) to assist with research tasks. AI-generated content may contain inaccuracies, hallucinations, or outdated information. You are solely responsible for verifying the accuracy of any content generated by the Service before use in academic, clinical, or professional contexts.
Paper retrieval relies on external databases (OpenAlex, PubMed). We do not guarantee completeness or accuracy of bibliographic data.
Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, SLR Studio shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that defects will be corrected.
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email or an in-app notice at least 14 days before changes take effect. Continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Ohio, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Montgomery County, Ohio.
